Florida rapper Julio Foolio, whose real name was Charles Jones, was shot and killed on June 23, 2024, during his birthday celebrations in Tampa, Florida ¹ ² ³ ⁴ ⁵.

Julio Foolio was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and rose to fame with his 2018 debut album "6toven." He released a series of albums, including his most recent work, "Resurrection," released in April ⁴. His music often referenced murders and gang-related slayings in the Jacksonville area ⁴.

The Tampa Police Department reported that four people were hit with gunfire in a hotel parking lot, including Foolio, who was later pronounced dead ¹ ² ³ ⁴ ⁵. The three other victims are in stable condition ¹ ² ³ ⁴ ⁵.

Foolio was open about his life on social media, including his gang affiliations and the multiple attempts on his life ¹ ² ³ ⁴ ⁵.
